Crain’s Chicago Business recently named BrightStar Care to its “Fast Fifty,” a prestigious list that highlights the 50 fastest-growing Chicagoland companies. BrightStar Care ranked at No. 27 on the exclusive list, and was one of only six healthcare companies included in the ranking. This recognition is presented to the top 50 companies that achieved impressive gains over a five-year period. Crain’s and Plante Moran vetted 125 applications to choose this year’s honorees based on the following criteria—companies must be headquartered in the six-county area of Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry and Will and have a 2014 revenue of at least $15 million.
BrightStar Care began franchising in 2005, and since then has grown to a $300 million company with more than 280 locations nationwide. In addition to continued domestic expansion, the company is looking to build a worldwide brand presence with a focus to expand into new and emerging international markets such as Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, and Western Europe.
“Being recognized as one of the top companies in the Chicagoland area by such a well-known, prestigious publication such as Crain’s Chicago Business is a true honor,” said Shelly Sun, CEO and Co-Founder of BrightStar Care. “We are extremely proud to be featured alongside Chicago’s fastest-growing companies. Our franchise partners are truly to thank for this recognition because it is their hard work and trust in our system that allows us to continuously grow.”
