Our outstanding brand, BrightStar Care, which includes two franchise options - BrightStar Care and BrightStar Senior Living, is continuously expanding and maintaining our name as a leading home care franchise. With over 380 locations across the United States, we recently announced that 17 of our franchise owners have expanded into 28 new territories across the country.
Among them are four first-time multi-unit franchisees and one who has grown into multiple states. These franchisees are great examples of the BrightStar Care commitment to provide high-quality care to communities.
Innovation and Entrepreneurial Drive

As one of the many franchisees driving BrightStar Care forward, Dan Price, the Owner and President of the Leesburg, Virginia location, has recently opened 16 new BrightStar Care locations in Maryland, D.C., and West Virginia. He and his team are proudly establishing these new locations rapidly as the go-to service providers in those areas as a result of this huge expansion.
Similarly, Richard Lovelace, the owner of BrightStar Care of Pembroke Pines & Weston in Florida, has grown his business and added two more locations in Hollywood and Miami Gardens. Because of this growth, Richard is swiftly becoming one of Southern Florida’s most trusted names in home health care.
Celebrating Dynamic Duos
Joining the achievements of BrightStar Care franchisees are Dan and Susie Sweiger, the owners of the BrightStar Care in Carlsbad, Southern California. They’ve broadened their operations to service families in Oceanside, California. As a result, all of the neighborhoods in North County San Diego have access to high-quality in-home care thanks to their BrightStar Care agencies.
Mak and Sanaz Vaziri, the owners of the BrightStar Care of Carmel Valley & Rancho Santa Fe, California, have expanded their operations as well, growing into La Jolla, California. As a result of expanding their region, the Vaziris are able to help more people in more parts of Northern and Southern San Diego County.
Andy and Kelley Bailen, co-owners of the BrightStar Care of Northern Middlesex County in New Jersey, have also embarked on their own expansion journey. The Bailens have extended their home care operations to Wall and Hazlet, New Jersey to transform their business into a multi-unit home care franchise, catering to families throughout their region of the state.
